Remember when I was on a Beyonce kick and she could do no wrong in my eyes? That was sooo last month. She did wrong. She did very wrong. I'm absolutely hating her lastest video (doesn't help that I also can't stand the song). Her hair reminds me of a rats nest. I get very defensive that it's not Jay in the video with her. It looks cheaply made. It's boring. So...thought I'd share! Enjoy!

I just watched this video 3x in a row and had chills to such an extreme that I broke out in a sweat. I'm not kidding, holyyy shit. WATCH THIS. Just watch what she does with her body. Then watch it again just to catch the other things she does with her body that you might have missed. That dance number in the sand? How is she even moving that way?

I'm tempted to put on a body suit and walk around downtown with my fist in the air.

Excuse me while I go watch 6 more times and weep from joy.

I just fell off my desk chair. Somebody went and combined by two current obsessions: Britney and Adele, (I could write a whole post on the goddess I now worship known as Adele). Someone joined their forces into one video mashup bit of beauty. I love a good mashup but this goes one step further and mashes up the videos. I would've liked a little bit more of an audio mashup with some Britney interludes worked in but I'm ok with it. Because let's be honest, I'm not a Britney fan for her voice (and lately not for her dance moves either? BRITNEY WHAT IS THIS SPELL YOU'VE CAST ON ME AND WHY DO I STILL LOVE YOU?).

Ok ok ok I know it's been a whole lotta videos lately and not a whole lotta talking.

This makes some of you very angry with me. I KNOW. I pretend I can't feel your anger seeping through the computer screen and staring into my soul. So I close my eyes and plug my ears and....post a bunch of videos.

I promised myself I wouldn't post anymore videos until I wrote a real wordy post. But I often break my self-promises (like learning to play the guitar, piano, riding a bike with no hands, solving a rubik's cube...just to name a few of my life failures).

Sometime I'll tell you the story of why I quit piano. It's a real doozy that involves Cherry Coke, incessant burping and a grossly overweight teacher. But that's for another day.

I am posting this video as a way to show my undying love for the band Destiny's Child (RIP) and my rapidly increasing excitement for SUNDAY.

This is the video to Fender Bender off the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Album. It was also animated by Monkmus. My mom taped the MTV world premiere of it in all of it’s 1 minute, 50 second glory. After it aired, she immediately called me on the phone. the conversation went something like:

“hello?”

“son.”

“hi mom.”

“That video is strange. That thing that crawls out of the man’s back is a koala, no?”

“I guess so… you should ask [Monkmus]… um, but sure, yeah… it’s a koala.”

“Oh… okay, I get it then.”

Oddly enough, because the video was so short it actually got a reasonable amount of airplay. The different video networks would program it at the end of shows as a bumper before a commercial or an emergency time filler. So it would get programmed at the end of cooking shows as well as at the end of hair-metal hour. Now all of these Chefs and Headbangers turn up at my gigs. cool.

Holy shit. Omg. Amazing. Gaga. lakjdf;lajfl;ajflajflajsflkjsflakjflakjf. She is 9!!!!!!! I am flipping out. Get it? Like flipping my hair? No?

WHY HAVEN'T I EVER THOUGHT TO DIP MY HAIR IN PAINT AND WHIP IT?????? I'm doing this to my living room tonight.

I don't think I've been this obsessed with a single video since TLC's Waterfall (they looked like caprisun juice!!) came out. Oh wait scratch that, I haven't been this obsessed with a video since Britney's Stronger video. I totally haven't taken one breath while writing this post.
