My friend's nails

I don't know if I've ever mentioned it before but...my friends are really cool. Really, really cool. You may wonder, how do you know they're cool? Well you see, my friend coolness scale is usually determined by these simple questions:

FRIEND SCALE
-Are they funny?
-Do they think I'm funny?
-Do they like good music?
-Do they have a dog?
-Are their nails pretty?

...in no particular order of course...

Yes, I like when my friends are funny. I like when they own pets. Generally it helps when they are honest, kind and loyal as well. But really lets just lay it out there...my cool girlfriends have really nice nails. And that's why I keep them around.

Taking it a notch cooler, my friends like to send me unsolicited text message pictures of their dogs. And of their moms. And sometimes of their outfits before they go out. But my favorite beyond favorite texts are random pictures I get of their nails.

Nail pics! Clearly, I will now post them online for all the world to enjoy as much as I do.

Raaawrr

No I diiii'dnt.

Oh yes I diiid!

I have leopard print stickers on my nails la la la.

LA LA LA LA LA.

Look at how happy I am! La la la la la.

Ladies (not gents, gents will undoubtably be skipping this post): I've become obsessed with Sally Hansen's Salon Effects stickers (as previously blogged about here) and I think you should too. They're $10, they're easy breezy to put on, and they last 2 WEEKS. I recommend doing them after you've recently gotten a manicure but are ready for a polish change so that your nail shape and cuticles need little maintenance. The nail stickies are sold at most drug stores and come in a beautiful variety of solid colors and fun prints, yay la la la!

I love the glitters and the neons and the butterfly one looks pretty cool too but nothing, NOTHING compares to my love for the leopard print (officially called Kitty Kitty). Are you surprised? No, obviously not. BUT this is big problemo because they're sold out everywhere. So just imagine the squealing sounds I made when I found a box the other day at a Walgreens. 30 minutes, 1 park bench and 1 lunch break later! Ta da! Rawwrrr.

Go buy them like right now. Take pictures. Send to me.

Peace, love and pussycats,
GMT

Someone get me a brown paper bag

I think glitter is always the best way to kick off a long weekend, don't you? I'm straight up hyperventilating over OPI BURLESQUE.

According to All Laquered Up, this is OPI's response to the widely popular Alice and Wonderland series. THANK YOU DEAR DEAR OPI FOR ANSWERING ALL OF MY PRAYERS. When Mad as a Hatter hit the scene I went on a relentless quest all over NYC to find the glorious bottle of multi colored perfection. (Although Lippmann's Happy Birthday is still far-and-away better)

Unfortunately, I do agree with ALU's review- the satisfaction of the beautiful glitter on your nails almost isn't worth it when it comes time to try to remove the polish. Ho-hum. Look at these colors though! Here are a couple of my favs. (note: All Lacquered Up lady puts one coat on her ring finger, 2 coats on the middle and 3 coats on her pointer finger to show you the difference in application)

Sparkle-licious

I decided that Sparkle-licious should be my stripper name if the TV industry doesn't work out.

Glow up already!

And while we're on the subject of sparkles. Looky here at what I just found by Lippmann. I think I like these even more than the Burlesque line.

I might frame this pic and put it in my room somewhere, it's so beautiful.

Bad Romance

::sigh:: Glitter just makes me so happy.

Make 'em say oh oh oh oh

It's. just. so. sparkly. I'm speechless. All of that glitter can go on my nails??

Please ladies, let me introduce you to the Alice and Wonderland line by OPI. This line is pretty much old news by now but I couldn't go another minute without posting about it on this glittery blog. I get into such nail polish ruts during the fall/winter. Everything else seems so drab during this cold weather- I just want to pep it up a little with some nail fun! Why not!?

I'm going gaga for the Mad as a Hatter pictured below. It is everything I want in a nail polish right now- glittery, interesting and metallic. I think I'm going to buy it tomorrow as a new job present to myself.

Mad as a Hatter reminds me of my OBSESSION from Lippmann Collection called Birthday Party. Pictured below (and at the top of the post). I had been holding out buying it because it was $18 and that was about how much money I had in my bank account but now with the release of Mad as a Hatter for $8 my nails can finally be glittery! Yippee!!

Birthday Party!

Absolutely Alice. Wow-o-wow. Pretty to look at, maybe a little too much for the office.

It makes me say oh oh oh oh, oh oh oh oh ohhh
