2 words for you: Lisa. Frank.
Bam! Childhood! Bam Bam!

Folders, pencil erasers, TRAPPER KEEPERS, backpacks. I credit Ms. Frank for my love of all things jewel-toned and glittery and for that...I am eternally grateful.

I KNOW. JUST STOP. IT'S TOO MUCH. Remember these stickers? Yup, I do too. I specifically remember putting the melting pizza slice on a mirror of my little brother's and I put the hot dog on a pencil box I had.
Then I probably painted his fingernails and played with my hamster, Nelly (who, unfortunately, met her untimely death after she ate her way out of her plastic cage while we were on a trip to Disney World and ended up 3 floors away in the basement...dead and surrounded by VHS tapes. (Ya..I have no idea either but I'll save that story and other theories on pet afterlife for another time).

And the grand finale....

Because nothing screamed "I'm in 3rd grade and love my life" more than twin, rainbow-spotted, artist, Dalmatians.
Is it sad that I most likely still have these in the bottom of my dresser somewhere...well I'm still a kid so I guess it's okay.
ReplyDeleteI have so much of this stuff at home, sigh. LOVE Lisa Frank. When my mom went to Poland for the first time when I was a kid, she left sheets of stickers and folders everywhere so I could remember her. Instead, I stared at the colors and sparkles. Sigh, to be young again.
ReplyDeleteLara-loo-- I would argue that my eating habits-- wanting to switch off food-- is no more or less unusual than the next guy. Food variation is the spice of life! --Dad
