There's been much buzz about the similarities between Rihanna's new music video and M.I.A's stuff. Here's how I feel about it, the look of the video is strikingly MIA's style. And what's more is that it's not just a single video of MIA's we're talking about here. The bold flashing colors, pop street art and tribal/geometric shapes are straight up MIA esthetic and everyone knows it. Rihanna's people even went on record the other day denying any similarity. So lame Rihanna, back up off my girl MIA. And p.s. the song sucks.
agreed, the rihanna track is a straight up copp. too bad that mia show in kansas was pretty bad (you went to that show right??)
